School Projects
For Teachers
Workshops and School Visits
I am available for school visits either in person or in online chat with students. As an experienced presenter and workshop facilitator to all age groups, I have spoken at many schools, helping to instil a love of story craft in students from Year 1 to Year 12. As a journalist and author for both adults and children, the workshop ideas I offer are limitless and I would be happy to discuss options with you. Please send a query via the contact form on this website.
Class Projects
If you ask your students to email me about one or more of my books, would you please have them use a school email address for the communication? That way, I can reply to all queries from the class in one email. I often find questions from students in the same class tend to be similar and replying to their queries in one email saves me a lot of time.
Ziptales
Have you seen the Ziptales website? It’s a subscription-based, online reading resource for mid-primary students. Stories are also available in CD format. Information can be found here: www.ziptales.com
For Students
If you’ve arrived here, there is a good chance you’re doing a school project about an author and/or their books. Maybe you have to write a book report or an author biography or maybe even something about speculative fiction. Whatever it is, there may be something here to help you, so have a look around to see what you can find.
